MANCHESTER

ManchesterThe city of Manchester will benefit from more than £1.5 billion in both private and public funding over the next 10 years in order to regenerate the city centre and its surrounding areas. This programme of residential, commercial and mixed use developments will create new districts and hopefully help to turn Manchester into the leading regional capital of Europe.

The transformation of the city centre to date includes the introduction of the world's biggest Marks and Spencer, designer retail outlet Harvey Nichols, The Printworks - a futuristic family leisure complex and the renovation of the G-Mex exhibition centre. In addition. the Piccadilly Gardens area of the city has also been regenerated to include a shopping arcade and improved public transport connections. Exclusive residential developments include the substantial Shambles West Development.
